JHHESA strives to make this vision a reality through:

• Designing and implementing strategic communication programs that seek to influence social and individual behavioural change or maintenance;
• Enhancing access to information and the exchange of knowledge that improves health and health care;
• Developing programming that is evidence informed through conducting research that guides programme design, evaluation, tests theories and advances knowledge in health communication.
• Providing technical support to South African partners to design, implement, monitor and evaluate strategic social and behavioural communication interventions.
